ABOUT

Calibre is the stage alias of Northern-Irish drum and bass maestro, Dominick Martin.

The Belfast born producer and DJ began producing during his early years, but came to prominence in 1995 when he released his first signed release with the inoperative Quadrophonic record label. Martin has always been consistently regarded as someone with a very unique and distinct sound and this trait landed him a deal with DJ Fabio’s Creative Source, releasing Musique Concrète on their label in 2001.

Much of Calibre’s work has remained shrouded in mystery, despite releasing over 60 singles and 10 albums, it is believed that a large portion of his produced work remained unreleased. Instead, Martin prefered to share his works with a very select group of friends and family, until 2007 when he began to release the Shelflife series of albums, which contain back catalog tracks from throughout his almost 30 year career. He is still active on the touring scene and is set to perform at NASS Festival 2021 in Bristol in September.
